The Exceptional Life

Autism Speaks Canada is committed to increasing early childhood screening and timely intervention. Our Family Services Community Grant program has funded $5 million to more than 300 organizations across Canada promoting collaboration and capacity building. In 2017, $39,400 of it was given in support of developing a documentary web series that follows developmental pediatrician Dr. Joelene Huber and Sarah Davis, an Applied Behaviour Therapist, as they guide families through the challenging realities of raising a child with autism.

“Over 12 weeks we will be working closely with families focusing on social skills, communication and behaviour.”

Dr. Joelene Huber, Developmental Pediatrician
