Meet Santa

Meet Santa

Sensitive Santa makes every effort to provide a calm environment where autistic children feel comfortable, so they can have the same special moments with Santa just like everyone else.

Sensitive Santa hopes to bring a smile to every child’s face, and visits with him can be customized to suit everyone’s needs.

Sensitive Santa and his elves receive training materials from Autism Speaks Canada. There are no formal photographers — though parents can snap their own holiday shots as they wish. Sensitive Santa walks without bells attached to his boots because they jangle too loudly for most of the kids. Behind his chair, they keep a stack of books and toys to help capture the kids’ attention. The elves keep the music low, and everyone speaks in a quiet tone.

Sensitive Santa visits select shopping centres across Canada during the holiday season.
