Autism Speaks Canada is committed to increasing early childhood screening and timely intervention. Our Community Grant program has funded over $4.8 million to 198 organizations across Canada promoting collaboration and capacity building. In 2019, $40,000 of it was given in support of SAAAC Autism Centre’s Mobile Developmental Outreach Clinic.
“Mobile Developmental Outreach Clinic has allowed our team to provide early screening, diagnostics, and family support to over 108 families this year.”
Geetha Moorthy, Executive Director of SAAAC Autism Centre
The clinic provides early detection and diagnosis of autism that is responsive to the needs of culturally diverse communities. The project’s goal is decreasing the diagnosis age and allowing access to early interventions more quickly.
Donate to us so we can support more programs like the Mobile development outreach clinic through our Community Grants.
