ASD Cyber Safe Program

Netty

Our Community Grant program has funded over $4.8 million to 198 organizations across Canada promoting collaboration and capacity building. In 2018, a $37,000 grant was given to develop a dynamic and interactive bilingual web-based toolkit for teaching cyber safety to autistic people.

The ASD Cyber Safe program is a highly accessible, empowering and educational toolkit for autistic people across Canada to learn how to confidently navigate the web independently. The program includes a series of videos, worksheets, and text resources which discuss how to handle different situations online and provides important tips for parents and caregivers. Authored by Kelly, a self-advocate at Giant Steps School in Montreal, Quebec, the program content is based on lived experience. The success of the ASD Cyber Safe program earned media attention, being featured in Global News and City News Montreal.

Please consider donating to us so we can support more important programs like the ASD Cyber Safe program through our Community Grants.
