If you are over 18 years old and have Autism Spectrum Disorder (including ASD, Autism, Asperger's syndrome and pervasive developmental disorder) OR if you are a caregiver to someone with ASD (e.g., parent, sibling, support worker etc.), researchers at York University would like to hear about your experiences with the police, your views regarding current police knowledge and training on ASD, and what you think police officers should know about people with ASD. You can participate even if you have not had any experiences with the police.
The goal of this project is to collect information that will be used to create training materials for police & law enforcement professionals on how to better interact with people with developmental disabilities. As thanks, you will be entered in a raffle for $50 gift certificate.
