After Diagnosis - Government Funded Services & Programs

Government Funded Services & Programs

The availability of government funding and programs varies by province and may in some cases require significant wait times. Once your child has received a formal diagnosis, it is important to take the necessary steps to access any publicly-funded services and/or funding as soon as possible.
For families with older children and adults on the autism spectrum, government-funded services and supports are even scarcer.
With the goal of making access to information easier and to assist families in navigating the system, over the coming months Autism Speaks Canada will be working with community partners in all provinces to provide more detailed information in this area of the website.
Until that time, please access information on provincial funding/services available through one of the following provincial government websites listed below. If you have any questions, or require assistance, do not hesitate to contact Autism Speaks Canada at 1-888-362-6227 or via email at: autismspeakscanada@autismspeaks.org
